HI guys,

We have been working on Rugby Manager game called Global Rugby Manager which is a windows based PC offline single player rugby manager game.

You will compete in a global league that pits the Northern hemisphere against the South in a quest to crown the worlds greatest Rugby club.

Features in depth management including finances, player development and on field strategy. Fully customisable teams, rosters and jerseys
and a 3D match engine.

We are in the final stages of testing and hope to have it finished for release in December. We do not currently have a publisher but will do
our best to secure one in the hopes of having a digital release on steam. If we do not succeed then we will selling it ourselves.

Love the look of this ceejay.

More info on the game would be really helpful.

Thanks. What would you like to know? Here is an overview of the basics...

We currently only have a world league, we do plan on adding more traditional competition structures like the Super 14, if we have time.

The current competition has a Northern Hemisphere conference and a Southern Hemisphere conference
each populated with regional divisions.

It is similar to the NFL competition structure with the winner of each regional division advancing to the finals and the
conference champs advancing to a North vs South grand final.

You can customize conference, division and team names, also jerseys, flags and players names, skills, attributes and appearance.

You will be responsible for managing club finances which includes various facilities and their upkeep, player wages, scouting,
transfers and most importantly, keeping the fans turning up up to games.

You can shape your players in various ways through general skills and attribute training, focus training and weight loss/gain.

Facility upgrade and management from things like stadium and marketing to training and scouting are there to help you maximise your
teams potential on and off the field.

The most important feature is being able to watch your players in full matches in the 3D match engine. You can see exactly what they are doing
wrong or right and adjust your squad and strategy accordingly. The match engine has fast forward and rewind and slow motion controls for
you to scrutinize the action as much as you like.

Whats the development like for players and positions?

Can you scout players/kids and develop them into world class players?

More on the depth of the player development would be my favourite topic.

Does the game have infinite years? (I'm not a fan of games which only allow you have a 5 yr career etc)

Is there an international game? Is it NFL like in that the top potentials go into a draft each season?

Players have a set of attributes and skills (see screen below) and can use general
training to train one of each for all players. You can use focus training to further
develop any one skill at a cost.

How fast players develop is determined by various things including their training rates,
training and gym facility levels as well as weight gain and loss e.g. Players losing
weight will help them to develop speed and agility at quicker rates.

Players can be played anywhere, so it us up to you to put the guys where you want them
and develop skills relevant to your plans for them.

Once you have successfully acquired players from youth scouting (players will join your team at 19)
you can develop them as you see fit. You certainly can turn them into top class players.

The competition has infinite years.

There is currently no international game, but this is something we will add in future a version.

It is similar to a draft, but there are no picks. All teams can make offers on any player and the player
will likely take best offer.

All the top youth players are shown on the youth scouting list throughout the regular season, you can access
them any time during the season and purchase test results or scout their primary and secondary skill sets. You
have to put an offer in before the season rolls over.

THIS is what I've been wanting all along :D

Get it to work on a tablet as well, iPad for example and you are on to a massive winner. PC will do just fine, but iPad would be preference just for accessibility.

Looks awesome! Will definitely be giving this one a go. The graphics look great as well.

Thanks. We will be looking for a publisher as we wrap testing over the next few weeks. Hopefully having a finished game will help us in that respect. Good to see a
few publishers out there, including Alternative software, getting behind rugby games.

Any chance of beta testing for forum members? ;)

Thanks for the interest! We are in the final stages of beta testing now and won't be bringing
in any new testers for this version.

For any subsequent versions we would be happy to have forum users join beta testing :)

How does injuries work and knock on advantage

Injuries currently don't carry over from week to week. If a player is injured, he is only out for that game. This
restriction is in place purely because we did not have time to implement a more realistic injury system.

If a team knocks on, the oposing team can play on until a set period of time has past, or the until they gain
a significant territorial advantage.

Very interesting!

If we're getting into specifics, the scrum screenshot, everyone is offside, defense has to be 5m off the last foot. And I read you plan to add a Super 14 format, hope it's a Super 18!

The defense depth at scrums will be corrected for release. I meant super 18 :)
