France half-back Jean-Baptiste Elissalde retires

Great man, always liked his vision and game intelligence.
Will miss for sure, even if he was not on the top of form in this last season, but oppositely to Galthier, I believe he has the stuff to enter the coach team and transmit all of his knowledge and experience, and even more, will soon take Noves' place in the future because he's made of the same wood (noves smoothy indicated after Hcup final that he'd appreciate to spend more time for him and his family in the future, and denied any desire to enter the national coach team).

Elissalde set to coach Toulouse backs
Jean-Baptiste Elissalde is expected to be named as the successor to current Toulouse backs coach Philippe Rougé-Thomas.
Rougé-Thomas, who won two caps for France in his playing days, has been offer a post at the helm of the four-time European champions' highly-rated academy.
The 48-year old joined Toulouse in 2000 and was part of the coaching staff that claimed two French domestic ***les (in 2001 and 2008) and three Heineken Cup wins.
Toulouse president René Bouscatel says the Rougé-Thomas has asked for some time to think about his future before giving a final answer.
It is an open secret however that Elissalde, who announced his retirement after last week's Heineken Cup, will take over as the new backs coach.
Elissalde will play for the Barbarians against England on Sunday and an announcement is expected next week.
The 35-year-old veteran of 35 Tests already has a coaching diploma and has enrolled in a specialist coaching course at French rugby headquarters at Marcoussis this July.
