As a general punt from a new member (I had to join to see if I am alone in this) has anyone had any adverse experiences from Stewarding staff at any of the RWC2015 matches held at a football venue?
I appreciate that not everyone attending these matches are dyed in the wool, week in week out Rugby supporters and consequently don't know how to behave at a match but surely someone must have briefed the ground staff a venues on how to interact with the paying Rugby public.
I was at Elland Road on Saturday with my disabled son to watch Italy/Canada and what was otherwise an enjoyable experience was marred but the combative, surly, unhelpful attitude of the stewards on the day. The contrast with Villa Park the next day was immense!
Would it be too much to ask that RWC 2015 brief these people that it is not just another Football match, it is a Rugby match and not everyone is a criminal?
