Exeter Chiefs forwards James Hanks and James Scaysbrook have both signed new deals that will keep them at Sandy Park until the summer of 2013.
Hanks, 26, has been with the Devon club since 2005, while Scaysbrook, 29, moved to Exeter from Bath in 2009.
Boss Rob Baxter said: "They embody the hard work, ethic and culture we like at the club.
"I think it's very important you have that as the core of what you're about first, and then you try to add to it."
Second-row forward Hanks has made 12 appearances for the Chiefs this season, a figure matched by flanker Scaysbrook.
Baxter continued: "It's nice to be signing players who are going to add to an improved team and who are going to improve as individuals.
