Scotland have released a statement revealing that eleven players were among the casualties from their Six Nations loss to Wales at Murrayfield.
A medical assessment on Sunday from team doctor James Robson reported an assortment of bumps and bruises that are 'symptomatic of the intensity of international rugby.'
"Among the backs Hugo Southwell required stitches to facial lacerations, Max Evans had a strain to his left arm, Joe Ansbro and Nick De Luca both had hand bruising and Mike Blair was suffering from calf pain," read the statement.
"In the pack Al Kellock had a neck strain, Kelly Brown rib contusion, Richie Vernon a calf strain, Euan Murray rib bruising, Moray Low an ankle strain and Ross Rennie a dead leg.
"All will be subject to further treatment and monitoring by their clubs' medical teams in the coming week."
