It's hardly the teams fault, they simply play in a stadium that is too large for the interest in the domestic game, and the new bosses at the SRU are looking for alternative stadiums for Edinburgh, having already secured one for Glasgow.

Attendances have been much better this season, but as you say, should they get over 6000 it would be their biggest attendance in Europe in the last few years for sure.

Even if they'd play in a 18.000 seater like Tynecastle, 6000 men would be a sad sight...

What are the alternatives the SRU is looking at?

They are investigating most stadia even remotely acceptable in and around Edinburgh.

The use of Tynecastle or even Hibs football grounds are pretty much out the question is the prevailing opinion, both clubs will want either a significant share of the gates, demand that the football matches be prioritised and the rugby worked around them, fees for 'destroying the pitch' (however I have seen many SPL matches where the pitch has come out worse for wear than a number rugby games), etc... All this whilst the SRU gets all the takings from Murrayfield.

It's early days, but at the rate things are being done, well I wouldn't be surprised if they worked out something for 2013. (doubt they would move before the new season, but you never know)

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU
That last try cost me £280 (put a fiver on Visser first try and Edinburgh to win by 16-20)

:(

Unlucky min, stop putting down Scottish teams and you would be £275 better ;)

Edinburgh have home quarterfinal!

Any other of the HC qualifiers would have walked this group.
What a bizarre turn of events.
Still, well done Edinburgh, showed some good attacking intent.

argh, bad luck

Edinburgh played really well, took 4 of their 5 chances, didn't make too many errors, since when did Netani Talei become so good? why did Worcester let him go?
meanwhile London Irish, looked as if they had no clue what their game plan was, Jonathan Joseph was impressive though in attack when he came on, but Hape + Spratt was crap

Well at least Edinburgh won't have to move in order to meet ERC knockout stadium regulations! :)

edinburgh were awsome yesterday. Laidlaw has to be in with a shout of starting 10 for scotland
