Hello, and welcome to this year's TRF coverage of E3 2009.
While E3 officially starts tommorrow (2nd-4th June), the big draw every year is the fact that the big three console manufacturers have big conferences, where they usually pull out their big guns for the remainder of the year.
Here's when they're taking place, and any current big rumours. Coverage of the event shall be provided by me (courtesy of my personal blog Project Ch@os).

- Microsoft
Monday 1st June, 6.25pm BST
Originally set for a half 6 start, they've decided to push it 5 minutes earlier to accomodate "a very special addition". One could argue that Microsoft was the only company out of the big three to take last year's E3 seriously, and if nothing else it sounds like Microsoft are putting the same heart into it this year. Big rumours suggest motion-control will be unveiled. Safe bets include Halo 3: The Expansion Pack and Lionhead's next project (Fable or otherwise). Outside takers include Crackdown 2. - Nintendo
Tuesday 2nd June, 5pm BST
One could argue that Nintendo have a lot to make up for this year, after last year was essentially "We make a f***ton of money, here's some casual games you dont give a **** about. Oh, and Animal Crossing. The hardcore loves Animal Crossing, right?" Big rumours suggest another new Zelda game and maybe even a new Mario ***le. Safe bets include the sequel to Wii Fit. Outside takers include some brand new IP that takes the hardcore seriously. - Sony
Tuesday 2nd June, 7pm BST
They've probably had some of their momentum taken out of them by their accidental unveiling of the new PSP model, PSP Go, over the weekend, but with Sony last year being more talk than announcing anything spectacular, eye's are on them to show their relavancy in the face of going from front-runner to has-been. Big rumours suggest a new "slimline" PS3 model. Safe bets include God of War 3 and the new PSP Metal Gear Solid ***le. Outside takers include them not waffling on about how the PS1 and PS2 were so great so the PS3 must also be awesome.
