Unfortunately New Zealand doesn't have the massive stadiums other countries do JW. Eden Park, our biggest stadium has a capacity of around 65,000 (I believe so but could be wrong). France v Japan and Nz v Tonga were sold out so in that aspect the numbers were "high", but obviously in the UK where soccer games get a huge turnout it may seem quite small. From the TV screen all the non sold out stadiums seemed to be rather full. Invercargil, the city where Scotland played Romania has only 40,000 inhabitants, so a turnout of 12,000 isn't too bad. Bear in mind that besides the rugby world cup, our only other games that come close to capacity or do sell out are All Blacks tests. ITM cup games and even Super 15 games don't come close to filling the stadiums. So by NZ standards the crowds are a good size. By international standards, I suppose our stadiums should be bigger and better. But hey, this world cup is going really well and everyone seems to be loving it, so I'm happy.
Edit: Smartcooky, it is no longer possible to purchase Fiji v Samoa tickets on the official RWC website. Samoa has really drawn the crowd with their win over Australia.
