Yeah, I'm also looking at it from an outside perspective. But it's not like they didn't know it was going to happen.  When the Waugh brothers retired, they should've heard the warning bells.  they were the first 2 to retire from that group of great players.

England has done well with transition, I don't think they will be in such a bad spot as the Aussies.  But they are making it difficult for young up-and-comers with the Counties all signing overseas based players like the IPL...

Not that I will complain, our SA boytjies gets nice contracts and our young guys then fills the gap.  Like David Wiese, who has now been called up to the Proteas T20 squad for the Sri Lankan tour.  A powerfull hitter of the ball and a good medium pace bowler as well.
