Connacht: (13) 16
Tries: Ofisa
Cons: Warwick
Pens: Warwick 3
Blues: (10) 16
Tries: Shanklin
Cons: Blair
Pens: Blair 3
Cardiff Blues came from behind to earn a draw with Connacht in Saturday's Magners League game in Galway.
Connacht led 13-10 at the break with a try by Ray Ofisa which was converted by Paul Warwick who kicked two penalties.
Tom Shanklin scored a try for Blues with Ben Blair converting and adding a penalty to keep the his side in touch.
Warwick knocked over another penalty in the second half but Blair replied with two kicks though he missed with two late attempts to win the game.
Wales centre Shanklin, captaining the Blues for only the third time in his career, crossed for a second minute try which Blair converted but Connacht replied with a Warwick penalty and flanker Ofisa touched down for the Irish side in the 18th minute.
Warwick converted and then Blair landed a penalty but Warwick responded in kind after Scott Morgan was sin-binned for obstruction to give the Irish province a three-point half-time lead.
Blair launched a levelling penalty, Warwick nudged Michael Bradley's side ahead again but full-back Blair tied the scores.
The New Zealander was wide with a 40-yard penalty attempt and then drilled an injury-time effort off the post and Warwick also earlier hit the post.
From the sounds of things the game was nothing special, wtih a try apiece and the rest of the game was decided between the boot of each kicker,
It looked as tho both Warwick and Blair had the chance to win the game for their side but failed to convert the penalties into points.
