Is it me or are the BBC pundits a little more one eyed than in years gone by.

Obviously Brian Moore is as impartial as ever but Philip Mathews (i think) must have his Ireland jersey tatooed on.

Best comment I heard all day was after Wales' 1st YES 1ST lineout when Mathews said they are obviously worried about the lineout as they have gone short early on.

For those who remember that lineout Bradley Davies made about 35 metres.

(I know the Welsh lineout after that was abysmal but Mathews couldn't of known that then)

Am I just an over sensitive soul or am I onto something... Dont get me started on Stuart Barnes

The worst comment was by the Irish commentator after the Ferris tip-tackle...

"That's not even a penalty"

I'm not fussed on Eddie Butler, but I was quite pleased when he had to explain the "breaking the plane" rule to him. Yellow, maybe, DEFINITE penalty though.

I wouldn't really expect any different to be honest. They've all played for their countries so you'd expect them to be as passionate as hell about how they get on. I've never really minded, I guess I think it adds a bit of colour.

The obvious solution is to turn the volume on the TV down and flick on the radio commentary.

Me too, I like a bit of bias to be honest. It's great.

The only one I can't stand is Andrew Cotter. Cannot listen to that man commentate. I just don't know why he has to say "And.." before everything.

"And now Priestland, and the pass to Jamie Roberts, and Roberts pins his ears back, and Tindall with he tackle, and now Wales come piling in"

I have not been watching the broadcasting by bbc for a while. But Brian Moore is a good fair commentator, so is Davies and Eddie Butler, and Mullins. I have no problem with English commentators being a little biased, because their team can be good, and is. But what I can't stand is Scottish biased commentators, when their team is pathetic. In particular, i cannot stand Andy Nicol - he is a one eyed person. It's all Scotland, if the other team plays well, oh "Scotland just played fairly poor". Scotland are crap mate, end of.

I was watching the Welsh Irish match from Espn, with two Irish commentators. By god, they're the most biased ones I have ever heard, especially this guy with an annoying lisp, "Johnny Sexxxxtonn". Whispering in the commentory box - how pathetic.

Everything about rugby coverage on BBC is bloody awful, from the pundits, right through every one single 1 of their commentators and even that irritating interview bint who acts more like a tabloid reporter pressing for a sound byte.

Meh I'm still a fan of the BBC commentary team, even if a few can get on my nerves. I watched the Ireland - Wales game in a pub in Dublin so was on RTE...jesus their commentary is dry. Felt wayy too serious and humorless, definitely needed someone from another country there too to balance the pundits out! Felt odd them insisting that Wales's back row got well beaten by the Irish in the World Cuo... (that said, I was drunk and I cant remember if that was said during the match show or on a preview earlier in the day :p)

I love Andrew Cotter. He just has such a brilliantly listen-to-able voice. Seriously, during the off-season I regularly find myself watching golf just because I so enjoy the quality of his voice. I also like Eddie Butler's dramatic tones and Brian Moore, Keith Wood and Jiffy are all quite funny, so don't mind them. Well, I do mind Brian Moore, but it's a 'Love to hate' scenario.

I've got his number if you want it....

I quite like the BBC coverage to be honest. The NZ and Irish commentary are definitely the most biased. I love the Australian and French (even though i don't understand it) for their passion and enthusiasm, although the Aussies can be a little bit biased but they make up for it.

The British are famously reserved when it comes to sporting commentary. Take a look at Spanish football commentary. It's mental. Fantastic stuff!

Yeah, I love the hearing the Argentinian commentators in rugby because they speak so brilliantly quickly, great enthusiasm. Similar to the French, although every time I've heard Italian commentary I've always found it really dull, can't understand why, it's a brilliant language, it just hasn't got passionate commentators (well, from what I've heard anyway).

There is one guy I really hate though, Can't remember his name, Martin Gillingham maybe? The one in this video:

Has a really grating voice. arggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Have you watched our coverage? George Hook has never complimented an Irish team. Brent Pope and Conor O'Shea are both pretty fair. Donal Lenihan however is biased especially to Munster but he's rarely a panelist.

If anyone wants a giggle, have a listen to Jonathan Davies commentating on a Pro12 game that nobody cares about. He knows it's a crap game and just starts going off on tangents and behaves like a bloke down the pub casually watching the game out of the corner of his eye. I love it.

He once wanted to give MotM to Clive Norling, who was spectating, but they wouldn't let him. Not fair.
