why has he been overlooked yet again, martin you fool! why would he pick 30 year old dowson over chris robshaw youngish but experienced robshaw, it makes no sense11

Dowson is a class act,
It was 50/50 between the two of them, and Dowson won out

There's still time for Robshaw (hopefully) - but I must admit, I was surprised that Dowson was chosen. They've both been on equally good form, and Robshaw captained the "England XV" over the summer, so would've thought it'd be him in there
Hopefully he'll get a look in soon enough, but with Croft back soon, I'm not so sure unfortunately.
Dowsons ability to play 8 as well helps him out a touch as well, as I can only really remember seeing Robshaw at 6

Dowson's a class act but quite simply Robshaw should have been the third name in the EPS back row after Croft and Easter, Easter only because we don't have another 8!
