Celtic Crusaders - New Stadium?

They'll get a franchise, I wouldn't worry about that too much. I really hope so anyway.

Interesting one this, Samuel has been loyal to the Bridgend faithful, he is much slated over what happened with the Celtic Warriors!

Hopefully they don't move from Bridgend becasue we will just have more moaning saying that there is no rugby in the valleys!

Wonder if this would effect Crusaders cahnce of getting a franchise?

Only positively.

The RFL think they can get a slice of the action down that way, hence Millennium Magic, so they will go with this if you ask me.

Personally I think they'll get in although there are many within the traditional RL heartlands who feel otherwise!
Expansion is uppermost in the minds and I think it would be crazy to not try and tap into a potential RL market like Wales.
I watched the games they showed on SC4 and the Crusaders play a good brand of entertaining rugby and will be a good addition to SL IMO. The Millenium Magic weekends will help build and promote RL in Wales as well.

What's the worst that can happen?

If it doesn't take off (it will) then the RFL will just put the franchise up for bidding and someone else gets it. Well worth the gamble.

If only the Millennium Magic would be willing to play a Celtic Crusaders game on the evening before as a taster for the weekend to come ( i don't see why they wouldn't being that they are our welsh club) then that would only encourage support for the local team.
My mate, Tom Burnell, who plays for the Crusaders says he optimistic about where the club is going, but he didn't mention anything about a new stadium. I'll have to ask him about that.

I think they did last time around... or do you mean at the Millenium Stadium itself?

Yeah, i was thinking about letting them play a one-off in the millennium stadium.
I think it would be a great boost for the players in the squad and also hopefully attract a few more fans and maybe a bit more money into the sport in a region of Wales that so desperately loves its rugby, but has so little to watch and support.
