Catalans ticket sales surpass 2008 record

Three weeks before the XIV engage Super League start, Catalans Dragons are proud to announce that season tickets holders surpassed last year record levels at the end of the season, with 4272 season tickets sold today. “The aim before the campaign was 5000 season tickets holders but we are still confident about reaching this figure. We are on course to beat our record in 2009. We are delighted today to be at the same figure than last year and we know the last three weeks are very busy at the ticket office. That’s why we still plan to achieve this symbolic step.†commented Christophe Levy, Catalans Dragons General Manager.
“We are very happy to rely [sic] this season again on our fans. Rugby League and Catalans Dragons are more and more popular in Perpignan. In 2006, we only sold 1500 season tickets and we plan to have 5000 loyal fans this season. It’s easier thanks to the on field results from last year but we are working very hard to keep our fans and to find new supporters, in particular with the strong competition from Rugby Union.†added Christophe Levy.[/b]
Sounds like the Dragons have been a huge success so far.
