Bout a month to go until the next round...Republic v the North...should be a laugh!..judging by the "hostile" reception the NI anthem got from the Scots I cant say I hold out much hope of a good willed game!...this will be more like an Old Firm game in many respects!...I just hope that we dont have half the UVF down for a fight!
In any case I think the Republic should walk this!
I'm just hoping we dont have a repeat of the England game in '95...:(

I fear you may be right

When the re-introduction of this tournament was announced, I was excited as I thought we would be the favourites to win it.

But with Harry Potter and his favourite "6-4-0" formation (as well as the selection of certain players like Caldwell and that absolute donkey Gary Kenneth), all we can hope for is that we don't get hammered. :(

Bumpity bump bump, bump bump

YAAASSSS!!! Revenge is sweetly claimed.

My gosh though Wales were poor, to concede a goal to Christophe Berra

6000 in attendance last night. The Carling Nations Cup is the biggest sham of a competition

Unfortunately I think the only way to get more people interested is the presence of England (at least in terms of Scottish folk), but I would hate the other FAs to go grobbling and pleading to the English FA

Still, so long as there is a trophy up for grabs, every chance should be taken, its not like any of us are going to be qualifying for WCs any time soon <_<

6000 in the Aviva? I dunno what is happening to football in this country, but a few years back you would have gotten at least 20,000 for a game against Northern Ireland regardless. Good result anyway.

No that was for the Scotland-Wales game... I dunno what the attendance was for the Ireland-Northern Ireland game. The real losers that night were the residents of Ballsbridge. You should've seen the folk hanging about!

Oh, well yeah, it's not exactly going to be a huge draw. Midweek too, which would deter travelling fans.
