Carizza returns to France

Disappointing that he's only managed to get a medical joker contract. I can think of a dozen or so clubs that could do with a player like him.

I suppose the rugby championship has put some clubs off signing Argentinians but still seems to be quite a few in France, I guess the clubs there have the budget to be able to cover a player missing the first 2-3 months of the season.

Will be interested to follow his progress as was let go By Biarritz when contract expired and struggled to find a club before ending up back in Argentina...........he never really made big impression here and believe he had long absence with injury. More a reserve than first choice? Wish him well though.......

He seems to be more of a grinder than anything else. I think he'd do well in the Premiership, but it's not to be.

Carizza is a bit underrated, one of those reliable and solid players that does the hard work in the tight but doesn't really stand out. He would have been a much better signing for the Scarlets pack than Vallejos. Carizza is a very solid tackler as well, and also does big hits technically well so they are legal which is impressive giving the current trend of yellow cards and penalties for big tackles these days.
