Calling all Graphics People

I'm trying to design a proper logo for my Rugby Club (UCORFC).
I am leaning towards something simple. I'd like to have a nice Shield as the focus...

I love the shape of the London Irish Shield. How can I take that into photoshop and change the colors? I don't need all the stuff inside (ie. shamrocks or London flag) just the shield shape, so I can insert UCORFC in it and mabye a rugby ball.

Cheers...how do I manipulate that in photoshop? For Example...I need to make a high-res image. Is there a way to trace it? Also, I need to change the colors to Royal Blue and Gold.

well dont just go over with the brush, use the pen tool and make your own.

Here's the final product. Everyone in the club is quite happy!

I sorted it out on my own...but thanks for the advice!
