Bye Bye Henson?

He's rubbish anyway. Hardly a loss for the Ospreys.

(let the fun commence)

Last week the official word was that the specialists couldn't figure out what was wrong with his ankle. It makes you wonder if it's a physical ailment or if he's lost his drive.

What a waste of talent. On his day he's the best 12 in the World. But everything has to be perfect for him to play like that, like his hair...

I hope not.
Would be daft if he has, I've akways thought Wales are much better team with him helping pull teh strings at 12. Damn it, we still have't properly seen what a Henson - Roberts midfield could do :(

Christ, too much bloody attention! He'll be back when he's fit, doubt he's thinking of retiring at the moment, blah blah blah. Do the media really have to make up all these stories about him? He's had a hard two years following a hard 2 years before that (with about 3 months of good times between) with injuries and being a general twat. He was asked by a BBC Wales reporter if he's thought about retiring due to all the injuries he's had, Henson replied with 'yes those thoughts have run through my head, it's hard sometimes, but they're only natural when you get a string of injuries' (or something like that), the papers did the rest to selectively quote him and report he was retiring.

He's still an important player for the O's, less so for Wales now with Roberts' emergence, but when he's fit and playing well again, I think there's still a big role for him to play, he's still only 27 ffs.

Basically, I think the media need to just give it a rest, it's just getting boring. When he's fit, he'll return for the Ospreys. When he's playing well for the O's, he'll return to the Wales fold.

Still don't think he's ever played as good for Wales as Roberts did for the Lions.

If he and JR could form a partnership half as good as the BOD-JR one then I'll be very happy.

Unfortunately due to his 'celeb' status whatever he does or doesn't do will always attract media attention. On his day he is a superb talent but his opportunities to play have been limited recently by injury. I hope that the medics get to the bottom of whatever is wrong with his ankle/groin and then he can concentrate on getting his match fitness back.

Exactly what I mean. Roberts is class, but he's even classer when he's playing alongside someone with a bit of creative genius like Henson or O'Driscoll.

Stop using Hensons name alongside O'Driscolls. Its like comparing Andy Goode with Dan Carter.

Hardly. Andy Goode could never be the best player in the world in his position... Unlike Henson.

well he's had long enough to prove himself and no dice so the point is more than valid!

Eh? Since when has Henson been an over-weight crap fly half who's desperate to keep his long hair as baldness takes over?
And anyway, Henson has 2 Grandslams, 2 Magners Leagues and an EDF Cup to his name, hardly as if he's not comprable to O'Driscoll.

Bad argument. A player isn't good as a result of his team being good.

Yup he was and he has since gone on to let that that talent go to waste whether through injuries or arseing about. Brian for, all the weight he carried about two years ago, has always given 100% for the cause. He'll be looked at as probably the best 13 of the pro age so far (with an honourable mention for Umanga of course) whereas Henson has never been close to being the best player in the world as our Brian has repeatedly
