The Bulls sent a warning to their Super Rugby oppenents when they trounced a Premier XV team by 68 points to 5 in Nelspruit.

The match was Springbok scrum half Fourie du Preez's first match back and he captained the team.

The Bulls went into the match still stinging from their defeat to the Southern Kings last weekend in Port Elizabeth.

The Bulls started scoring from the fourth minute when Springbok winger Bjorn Basson scored the first try. Basson went on to score a hat-trick.

More to follow.

The Bulls 15 Springboks was just way too much for the Pumas!Happy that Fourie du Preez got about 70mins game time, looking very much forward to see him back in action for the Bulls and Boks.

Warning?

I haven't heard of any of those players in the Premier XV.

It leans towards a good result for the bulls IMO. I would have thought 35-15 if I had to pick a score beforehand. Although these guys aren't well known they aren't push-overs. That said, you need to do your homework to contain a full strangth Bulls side.

Basson looks like keeping up his try-scoring ways.

I think if one can take anything away from the Bulls' 2 results its that they still have what it takes to win the tournament but that they lack quality depth in 1 or 2 areas. Certainly not lock.

Pitty about the injuries I heard on radio this morning, hope nothing is serious
