Hook "may have to leave the Ospreys"

It's true I do agree with <strike>him</strike> it. Hook has already come out and said that 10 is his best position and his preferred spot. The only trouble is where he'd go. The Blues are probably the best bet as the Scarlets have Jones and I doubt he would be best suited to playing with the Dragons. I think he'll have to move to a GP or French team to make it work.

Hook wont leave Ospreys we all know that although if he were he'd stay in Wales with Cardiff needing an out-half but don't think he'll leave.

I remember reading something where jonathan davies said something similar, and was saying how the ospreys playing hook at centre could be damaging the wales team as well as he's a better FH than centre, but just isn't getting the game time at that position

The blues may seem like the logical option, but I think if Hook was to leave the Ospreys he is more likely to go to England/France for the better <strike>money</strike> experience!

I don't see the problem of him playing at centre. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have what it takes to play at 10, as soon as defences realised he just runs down blind alleys, they just have to wait for him and tackle. Biggar has shown this season (and last) that he's a better fly-half, his game control is reduculously good for a 19y/o, and will only get better.

Hook is treading a very similar path to Henson when he was young (minus the being a twat part). Henson openly admitted that he wanted to play at 10 for club and country, and for a while he did, but in a similar way to Hook, his game control just wasn't there. Maybe he didn't like being shoved into the centre to begin with, but I'm sure after a few good performances he started enjoying it, who wouldn't? I think the same will be true with Hook, after a few top class performances in the centre (they'll come), maybe a few motm awards, he'll realise he's better off there. He can use all of his good attributes, but leaves the controlling to somone who's good at it, Biggar or Stephen Jones.

I think this facination with the 10 spot is something us Welsh are renowned for. All players want to play there, all supporters want another Jonathan Davies, Barry John etc. However some players have to realise that maybe their better suited to play centre, as Henson had to do, and Hook will need to do (imo).
