Does anybody know when the tickets for the opening (Leinster/Ulster v Munster/Connacht) match in Aviva stadium go on sale? It'd make a great Christmas present!

Havent a clue mate. I wonder if they are going to go on public sale at all. May end up being distributed through the provinces and the clubs.

bit early for christmasthe games in July i think they will go on public sale but not sure when next few weeks.

oh and can some one do someting about antonylau he spaming that post

What date is that match actually? I wouldn't mind trying to get some tickets but I'll be away for all of july and the 1st week of august

think it's the 31st of july i might go as i will be in Dublin for that month.

Yeah D'Arcy I think you away then but it'll be interesting game but doubt it'll be sell-out.
Tickets will be all sold public on Ticketmaster I presume as it is unlikely game will sell out minus the attraction of every player that tours with Ireland.

But on good side I got my ticket for AI's arranged €330 for 4games is good value me think :D

31st of July is a poor date... It's kind of bang in the middle of when everyone's away. I still think the novelty of it mite get a good capacity crowd though.
How did you get your AI tickets already? I better go try to grab mine soon.

It's also the start of the Leinster under 21 hurling championship. So yes, a very bad date. Wickow vs Longford is where it's at.

Wicklow to win that feic :p

But D'Arcy got it through Munster Union so happy out as for 4 games it great Value.

Initially the match was set for April, when the stadium was meant to be finished, and probably would have feature a pretty decent 15 from all sides. Now I'm not sure who's gonna feature, it'll probably be a bit of a random 15 on both sides, mainly kids I'd say.

Aye, true that. With the mismanagement of Wicklow juvenile hurlings these days you never know...

Just reading how the GAA are keeping the doors of Croke park open for rugby and football. The bosses of the IRFU are very pleased with aviva stadium but does anyone think rugby will return to croker for certain matches?

Well that's a complete change of heart from "we'll never let any non-Irish sports be played here" of a few years back!

If Ireland get one of the next two WC(dout it) i think think the final will be played in Croker.

Realistically, Ireland are about as likely to host a world cup anytime soon as Margret Thatcher is to recieve a warm welcome in North Yorkshire... We all take the mickey out of New Zealands **** poor infastructure, but in comparisson the road network alone makes Ireland an unlikely choice. Ever.

Ireland have know real chance of gaining the WC any time soon. The GAA stadiums would have to be used but before that upgraded however the GAA fans like the stadiaums as they are. The GAA pitches are big which makes the stands far from the rugby field. we would also have to upgrade the RDS and Ravenhill (this should be happeninganyway though)
