Not being funny but Egyptian football and noteably al-Ahly's Ultra's are notroriously known for creating violence at games and its without a suprise that something like this was going to happen at somepoint. The country is still in a poor shape. Police are to afraid of policing for fear of a backlash.

The people that do this care nothing for the sport it is perputratored in, they are just vile cretins who seek an avenue to express their hatred and vileness. For these particulars they use football 'loyalty' to express it.

I have no sympathy for the any individuals that actively participated in this (trying to hurt others) and died as a result, only their families. It really is a sad thought that the world is better off without some of them.

Yes it is, the lack of Police presence is directly linked to the post Mubarak state, as well the activities of the Al-Ayha Ultras link them to much of the violence in the revolution.
