Travel to America is funny, I definitely think it's worth it and the cultural experiences are great but the interest fades quickly. I'd never go for a beach holiday and party holidays are mostly behind me I reckon. I think the culture shock was at it's greatest last time around. I had always found Americans very curious and friendly before, the curiosity seemed to have gone and the friendliness was more mannerly than genuine, Vancouver was the peak of that trip. Not really a criticism, tye people seemed a bit fed up which is jnderstandable given how volatile the country has been most of the last decade. I've been to NYC x2, Chicago, Boston, Portland x2, Seattle, SF x2, Vegas and LA and went to Bandon Dunes for golf. I feel like I've got everything I want out of the city travel, although I'll likely head back to Chicago, NYC and Boston at least, enjoyed them all greatly and hoping the 2031 world cup will provide these opportunities. New Orleans does peak my interest but not really a place I ever feel like I have to go to and I'd love to see Springsteen in Jersey if that's ever possible (and likely the only thing that'll get me back there in the next few years, have other places I'd rather go that I've never visited). Golf is probably what any other holiday I'll ever go over there for will be based around. Would love to get some South Carolina and Florida courses ticked of as well as going back to Bandon and hitting Pebble beach, Spyglass and maybe Torrey Pines. I've been there 3 times since 2017 and twice before. I think those trips will likely account for more than half of the trips I take there in my lifetime and I really hope I'm not close to half way through my spin on earth yet!
