2023-2024 transfers

Seeing him in an Irish shirt singing the anthems will be vile. Strange kid.

Why?

Hughes doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

It's a problematic system, but can you blame a lad for wanting to try and play international rugby, he only has one life at its within the rules.

Fine. But every player who plays for a country where there only ties are professional rugby has to have #YOLO tattooed on their forearm. And yes the # is required.

To be fair Haley qualifies through family which is better than the three year rule imo. I hope he doesn't make it though, he's worn the rose...

Edit: I'd support him if he did like I do Aki, Stander etc...

Because he's played for England Saxons?

Think Haley probably has no more of a chance of getting a shot for the Irish team than he does the English one for now. Munster signed him because he's IQ and has a decent amount of rugby under his belt for a young guy in an area we're losing a Lion. He moved probably because it's easier to stand out playing for one of the two well performing teams in Ireland and we have a smaller player pool, but the que for Irish fullback has been pretty long for a while now. Another shrewd signing from Munster in my opinion.

Because hes played in England shirts and with the rivalry it just doesn't sit well with me in this particular case

Hughes played for Fiji Warriors.

I'm not saying it's right, but end of the day it's not against the rules and i won't hold it against him or find it "Vile".
A] I didn't know that.
B] Are Fiji Wattiors the offical second senior team of Fiji, that ties one to Fiji from that day onwards?

His family are Limerick. Didn't realise I actually knew some of his relations well

Irish times are running the story with this pic... Is that Haley? It doesn't look like him!

Haley is a good player. I'm disappointed he hasn't kicked on in the last couple of seasons but I do think he has the ability to make it at test level whether that's with England or Ireland.

AJ MacGinty has signed a 4 year extension, which I'm very happy with.

He had a rough first year, arriving with a hamstring injury meaning he missed pre season and the early part of the season and then couldn't kick when he was playing,
He also spoke recently in an interview about how he struggled to fit in initially going to a new team and being expected to be the leader at 10 when he was trying to find his groove.
That said he form leading up to his recent knee injury was outstanding, and he's really clicked in the squad now.
Also he's the most successful goal kicker in premiership history atm, which is always a bonus

So who do we have coming up for 15 after Brown?
Assuming Brown retires/gets dropped after 2019. Because he must have been told he wasn't in Eddies plans really IMO.
Who is there currently that might have potential to takeover?
Guessing of the current prem lot.
Watson
Mallinder (Dear god no)
Morris
Hammersley

What positions do the likes of Malins and Protheroe prefer? 10 or 15?
