2023-2024 transfers

Charles Piutau - Bristol, 2 year deal from next year, confirmed.

They've already got a better squad than some Premiership teams. They should absolutely walk the Championship next season and with the first past the post format, Piatau will probably be the first of a number of top class signings for 18/19.

No problem.

I expect Lam to have a few more NZ players lined up TBH for next season.

Yep. Anyone who is close to but unlikely to make their World Cup squad will be on the radar.

Ulster got cucked. Have to say I hope Bristol continue to flounder in the Championship. And if they come up I hope they get London Welshed for this crime against the Pro 14's flash rugby.
In all seriousness though if Oiatau was unwilling to pass to anyone in Ulster he's not gonna throw it once at Bristol.

Pat Lam could prob get him to pass, he played under him at Blues

Aight well let's hope he can motivate him. Looked pretty disinterested towards the tail end of this season, which yeah I would be too if I had to play for Ulster, but I can't see that improving much for Bristol.
Have to say the whole thing was a complete misuse of resources for Ulster. Back three wasn't a position they needed to splash the cash in, they let a promising Scholes go to not improve in Scotland and now he's going to Connacht.

Quite easily see whichever NZ winger is out of the picture coming over, Savea, M-Skudder maybe, love to know how much he'll be on, I'm sure I heard half a mil a season at Wasps...

Yeh you know Tigers where close to signing Scholes but he went to Edinburgh instead.

With the squad they have and the removal of the play-offs there is almost no chance of Bristol not being a Premiership side for the 2018/19 season.

Their squad is already on a par/better than some Premiership sides so once promotion is pretty much confirmed, they'll be splashing the cash again.

Meh not poor form from Ulster no not let him stay at Wasps, and not poor form from him for leaving Ulster. He's not even hiding that coming North was a money making exercise which is fair enough. He's clearly achieved what he wanted to in rugby for the time being and is happy to play where the cash is. At least Bristol could be an exciting adventure, while Ulster's outlook for a couple of seasons is bleak, with a shake up in coaching incoming and their nailed on out half's future on ice at the moment. Charlie P certainly showed flair and a lot of class at times for Ulster, but I don't think he was ever happy there, and I don't think he fit them that well eithe. They have Stockdale and Lyttle coming up anyway, so hopefully they push on. Still major issues in some pack spots and at 9/10.
Hard to say where Ulster should prioritise the cash splashing from Piatau leaving.

Not really poor form though is it?

Not Ulsters fault he liked wasps, they agreed a contract with him before wasps, if it wasn't for Ulster he would never have been at Wasps.
Wasps tried to cuck Ulster out of their man!
