Lions are the only South African team I find myself enjoying watching, because they play expansive enterprising rugby. They're tearing the Cheetahs a new one, great pack and a good backline.

I see Elton Jantjies has fractured his wrist so who are the Bokke going to field at 10 vs Ireland in June with all 4 our top franchizes missing their top pivot?

Who do we even have left? The best bet we probably have at this point in time is Joe Pietersen.

It's looking more and more like we are going to field a fly half from the NH teams, although Lambie said that he will be ready by the time the internationals start. My guess is that the candidates will be Marnitz Boshoff, Johan Goosen, Morne Steyn, and maybe Demitri Katrakilis.

If they want to go with a local boy, then the one who has been the most impressive IMHO is Niel Marais.

Tim Swiel ;)

How is Swiel going BTW?

LOL, I think the first question we need answered is who is going to be coaching the team. Joe Pietersen is actually not all that unrealistic at this stage considering all of Pollard, Lambie, Jantjies and Du Preez (who looked good while he was operating) are out. There is always a chance we might see one of Morne Steyn, Johan Goosen or Ruan Pienaar get a look in again...

Where is Boshoff? He bossed one game against us for the Lions and then dropped off the face of the earth.

I'm with you on Niel Marais. Crazy that. And to think I was excited and thought SA was at a place where all the major franchizes actually had a pivot for once and the new Bok coach couldn't make a poor decision in the position.

Boshoff has been ousted by Ackermann... He has signed for Connacht and is already in Ireland undergoing medical tests, he is expected to start playing for them in April.

I still don't knwo why the Bulls didn't re-sign him after Pollard's injury...
