All 6 SA teams are facing foreign opposition and somehow this is the one I feel least confident about a SA teams' chances.

Bulls should beat the Force even if it is their 1st tour game. The Stormers also should be able to take the Waratahs at home. De Allende needs to pick it up though. Those two fixtures I see the SA tam as favorites. Lions vs the Hurricanes shoud be a fast paced game and I see it as anyone's game but will give the Lions home advantage and trust Barrett's boot to see the Lions home. For the rest, yes I see the Cheetahs and Kings in with a bigger shot at away wins over the Reds and Jaguares than I do the Sharks.

Firstly the Sharks did not manage to score a single try against the Highanders who were without their no.12 for close to the entire game. The Chiefs are likely to pick up a few tries so if you aren't scoring points yourself you just don't have a chance. Who knows though- stranger things have happened and though I don't feel ths Sharks have shown they have it in them the Chiefs havn't looked unbeatable and the Sharks have a bit of luck themselves seemingly.

Hmmm...

Both these teams had a bit of luck last week. But you have to give it to the Saaarks, they sure know how to defend. And My guess is that they are going to do the same as they did last week, and maybe even score more points. For one, the Chiefs have a much poorer scrum than the Highlanders, and I think this is one area the Sharks will try to win some penalties.

I see the Chiefs ripping the Sharks apart if the Sharks give them a sniff of space.

Big effort by the Sharks last week and don't know if they can do ti 2 weeks in a row.

Hopefully Ngatai and Lowe are back.

They have been doing it since the start of the tournament. The effort side. Some of the games the application failed and they lost.

The Sharks are also without Reinach and Beast in this game. Now with an entirely new front row starting dont just assume we will dominate the chiefs in the scrum. Wiehan Herbst is not that great a scrummager.
If we had Lambie and Coetzee fit then this game would seem less one sided. Still looking forward to an exciting game.

The Sharks will totally destroy the Chiefs scrum in this game... but it will have little effect as the Chiefs will do anything to avoid a scrum even if it involves some chiefs props mysteriously getting kneecapped at half time.

They should destroy our scrum, given as many 1st choice forward injuries we have I expect nothing less and the Highlanders will most prob do it the week after as well, but that is life, just have to hope our broken play and counter attack get us through tonight.

We may have 2-3 players return next week, albeit backs but none the less some fresh legs with talent for the Highlanders game.

Pretty unlucky not to get a second try there!

Cruden goalkicking.

In what world was that not a truck and trailer from the Sharks?

The one on the right side of the field? Or the try? The first the lock never released the ball, so no obstruction, he could be tackled, the try one was sheer power and the same maul.

The Sharks are doing surprisingly well, their forwards are doing a great job and while their backs lack penetration, they have so far done well with the kicking game. Chiefs have seemed to have lost their game plan around the 20th minute.

Great little try from April there. Cruden was held up and Retallick didn't have the pace to close the hole. Good spotting.

NZ with a bit of an unusual headache at 10? Having watched the two options, I think Barrett is better in open play, but both kicker's place kicking form is questionable at the moment.

Not that the SA kickers are doing any better mind you...

I guess on a positive, place kicking is something that can be developed with enough practice. What a lot of these players have is great game management and are naturally deadly at finding ways of breaking the line given a bit of space!

I thought Bird had an impressive game while he was on, made a few very good carries.

If the Chiefs win this they can thank Retallick that one steal saved there asses for mine, the Sharks were really getting on top of them about 20 minutes ago just when Retallick made that steal and the Chiefs scored off it. Sharks with huge momentum atm.

Not the best game from the Chiefs but some of the best decision making I've seen from them at the end of the game. Smart play.
