Defending champions vs the only team left from Aussie as well as the first fixture and the only one where both teams have been named and not a single post on this thread.. Yup.

Yep those Aussies are spoil sports. Not even giving us the chance to put the boot in.

Hoping for a close contest. Given the venue, then can only hope the match to be somewhat tight. If Ben Smith has a howler, then who knows.

The Brumbies will need players like pocock, leiliafano, Toomua , fardy and Moore to up their game big time.

just hard to see it happening, but the home advantage might make it interesting. Think the performances of the smiths on the highlanders are key to how their team goes.

highlanders have an enviable back line, and their back three in the scrum, as well as locks are no slouches either.

Stranger things have happened.....

I hope im wrong but I have a super bad feeling about this match. The Brumbies are a bit of a bogey team for the HL especially when they are at home the HL rarely beat them.... Im just hoping the gulf between the NZ sides and Aussie's stays as big as its been all season.

An upset still not out of the question at half time. But only if a Brumbies can start winning their own lineout and survive the first 5 mins of the second half while down a man.

Great steal from dixson there holy cow that was a good effort on the HL line!

Fekitoa has been such a dissapointment this year its hard to put in words.

FFS trying to call a shoulder charge on that. Thank **** this reff isnt an complete tool. How is Elliot meant to wrap his arm when its going to get broke if he does by another HL player. If a player runs into a gang tackle they deserve to get a bit of shoulder.

Brumbies meltdown at lineout continues. If they'd won even half of the lineout ball that they've lost they'd be right in this. Still Sopoaga's struggles with kicks in the wind is still keeping them in it.

FFS!!!!!!! That wasnt a try!!! EDIT:thanks **** for that I thought they'd awarded that. HL still in the **** though.

Id like to see that brumbies scrum again aswell. To me they wheeled it illegally.

The HL only have themselves to blame though you cant allow yourself to get stripped like Osbourne did to let them get down here.

Why did the Brumbies attack the blindside then? Stupid call Highlanders had defenders.

Landers deserved winners best all round rugby

JESUS that reff nearly gave me a heart attack. "Oh no thats it!!" Bloody hell that was a worry.

Who else thought the brumbies when they couldnt get the scrum going forward wheeled it? To me they were wheeling every damn time.

What a messy end. Brumbies getting a little respect back for Oz rugby but the best team won.

It became a good game at the end there! Brumbies only have themselves to blame. Lacked the creativity to get past that Highlanders defence on the tryline. Shows you what a good defensive effort can bring you in the finals.
Well done to the Highlanders on staying cool under pressure.

Thats why Pocock should not play 8.

He doesn't have the ability to control at the back of a scrum.

The Highlanders clearly stacked their team with taller players in the backrow and moved whitelock to 5. Any team with pocock weather it be at 7 or 8 is likely going to be deficient at lineout time. The AB's have shown time and again how to beat teams with Pocock in them and its pretty simple stuff really.
