I don't necessarily think the Championship matches will be too interesting, but I'm looking forward to the Premiership games!

Carter? Dan Carter? Does he still play rugby? ;)

Pretty nervous about the Auckland vs Taranaki semi-final. We bet them in the round robin, so it seems like fate that Auckland will win the semi-final instead. That, and Auckland are far more adept at finals rugby than Taranaki are. Am surprised to see Rei starting ahead of Baker, but suppose he will have a big role to play in the second half if we're behind. Starting Smylie at the start of the season would have made me want to tear my hair out, but he's been playing well and think his experience will be vital in this match.

BL to Northland, accurate goal kicking would have won them the game.

Just finished the Manawatu v Southland match. Pretty scrappy affair, a lot of very basic errors, particularly from Southland. A couple of good tries though, but the match as a whole wasn't great.

Very worthy finalists then, Manawatu and Hawke's Bay.

What an incredible game auckland and taranaki has turned out to be. This is being played at such a high pace. Tamanivalu and visinia are such beasts

Marty McKenzie is a terrible goal-kicker.

EDIT: WTF were Taranaki doing at the end there? Hoping Auckland committed a silly penalty? They didn't even look like they were trying to win the match, and in the end opted for a 45m rushed drop goal. Extra-time now. It has been a great game so far!

Auckland have gone away from what they were doing in the first 80 mins where they took taranaki on up the middle and through the forwards, Anscombe said that was their game plan and it was working. Now they're tryna rush with the backs and playing straight into the nakis hands

I don't think the change at 10 has helped.

Jeez, that was an intense game. McKenzie had a shocker. Might see Barrett back in at 10 if possible next week.

Tasman's defence was just awesome and aggressive tonight. Up in yer face the whole night, and forced Canterbury into a lot of errors.
