Injury concerns over Stephan Lewies (missed last week) and JC Astle. Wentzel has been cleared to play after suffering a facial injury. Backs are clear, so hope to see a few changes. Would like Heimar given a run, think he is a better inside centre than Jordaan. In the pack, if we do have lock injuries, I could see Oosthuizen shifting back to second row, and Kleinhans coming in. Meyer to bench it, along with maybe one of the du Preez. Our second row depth is being tested these days, no wonder we signed a few at U19 (Johan du Toit- PSdTs brother, Hyron Andrews, Philip Marais- youngest of the Marais second rows, Jan Andre and Peet no longer in Durban...) that being said, Marais is being used as a wing these days.

Lambie is in Argentina, he was only released for the first match of the Currie Cup when there were no RC games played. Yesterday on Supersport they showed how the Boks trained and Lambie, Pollard and Steyn had a kicking contest. Dunno who won though...

Rated Lambie more than who exactly?

Lambie isn't a better fullback than Willie Le Roux, and has never been good at 10 in a Bok Jersey whereas Handre is just barely starting out there. I would however pick Lambie on the bench ahead of Mvovo, but Lambie's paleness is I think the factor keeping him out.

Well, without going over the top, Lambie hasn't had a full run in the 10 shirt, and last time he did, we went 3/3 in the NH. He has only started five times at 10, one being in the dreadful 2011 3N away leg, three in the 2012 November tour (3/3 wins) and once v Scotland 2013 (win). He isn't the disaster at standoff people seem to think. Now I am not saying he is god's gift, but people seem to make up games that he has ruined for the Boks.

I can understand him not meriting starting for the Boks right now, no doubt. Biggest issue is, he has played two or three games since March, and really needs match time. Shame Boshoff was injured, or he could join the Boks and allow Pat to be released for a few weeks.

I am just saying, poor lad is stuck in the middle, not able to get into the Boks 23, but still rated enough to get into the squad, and consequently missing out on CC.

Now if Meyer didn't want Lambie to be so pale, surely they could release him to the Sharks and send him on beach duty for a few days?
