Busy weekend for the Griquas!

William Small-Smith must win the award for least 'Bull' sounding name.
Then again, Jono (Jonthan Montague) Ross, the captain, must be up there as well.

Why are you now starting with the trash talk??

That said, the Bulls have had a rather big influx of English-speaking players recently. Jono Ross, is also the first english-speaking captain in the Bulls history - So I could argue that he's a ****ty captain (which he is) and that if the Bulls use an Afrikaans-speaking captain, they would win more...

Also, you can diss William Small-Smith all you want, but watch out for him, he could just give the Sharks backline a headache friday night.

Getting very interesting here at the end. I'd imagine teh Cheetahs will have the measure of the Griquas with a BP so that puts pressure on the bulls to back up their win last weekend with points against the Sharks or otherwise they are essentially out of the play-offs even if they do beat the Cheetahs in the final round. A win for both sets up a lekker showdown for a play-off spot unless the Lions drop two on the trot (can't imagine them not beaating the Griquas at Ellis park though).

And then there is the race for top spot to secure that home advantage...

The Bulls need to win and score 4 tries this weekend to have any real chance to make it to the semi-finals, and to be competitive.

Playing the Cheetahs next week in Bloem is a very tough ask, and the Bulls could still end below the Griquas!! And then have to play a play-off match for next year's Currie Cup!! The Horror!!!

Bulls will fail against the Sharks, one 2nd half good showing against the bottom team does not win Currie Cups (yet)
WP to beat the Lions with a quality side at present and well balanced
Freestate to rip Griekwas a new one

P.S. the delicate differentiation between small talk and trash talk seems to unsettle the nervous ones

Haha, sometimes the trash talk and the small talk are necessary for the nervous ones...

I see that Jaftha and Willie Doos, err, I mean Roos will have no further part in the Currie Cup...

How is that trash talk? Not knocking English or Afrikaans players, but I think one could say that Bulls have a great percentage of Afrikaans players, certainly more than we see at the Sharks or WP, so seeing a very British sounding name in the middle of it is unusual.

A win at Loftus is always something to celebrate, great job Sharks.
Now WP... Very tough, a must win if we want a good mindset going into the finals.

We think exactly the same :)
May the best team win

i was using my old friend wikipedia and i was looking at the currie cup and i came across that there is a scottish winger playing for Boland Calavliers called Liam Draycott does anyone here know how he's doing or knows if he's good

Honestly never heard of him. Cavaliers are Division One CC, so I don't follow it, sorry.
