Cheetahs and Kings booted from pro 14

Actually, when we still were a second tier nation, we had several German Saffas in our national team, I think they were by far the biggest group of all the players being eligible for us based on ancestry. I'm not sure at all if we still have any now that we're a tier three country only, the...

    Watching Rugby in the UK

Thanks,, but I'm not in the UK, so BT isn't an option. I've got RugbyPass already, so my SmartDNS was an easy way to access the bits they don't show here. Actually, had DAZN used their rights, I wouldn't even have the problem to begin with.

    Watching Rugby in the UK

I haven't been around in ages, but DAZN didn't show the Champions Cup matches this weekend here, but RugbyPass didn't work with my SmartDNS or VPN service. Does anyone still have access to the Champions Cup matches with either solution? Thanks!

    2019 Rugby Europe Championship

I watched most of the first half of Romania v Germany and we were awful there. I fear this will end in relegation, we seem to get worse instead of better.

    League of Nations

I really don't see the need for this, just make sure it's not the same countries playing against each other all the time, especially several times in a row. That's what's making me lose interest in the internationals.

Prem rugby in talks to sell a 51% in the league for £275 Million

The latest The Rugby Paper also had some good stuff on that, although I've only read parts of it.

    Rugbypass & alternatives

They won't be showing the Top 14 this season , but instead they'll have all Pro 14 matches: https://www.reddit.com/r/rugbyunion/comments/99oeg3/rugbypass_not_covering_top_14_this_season/ Does anyone have any idea where I could watch the Top 14? I got an error message when trying to...

    A Political Thread

He actually lied about the percentage of energy we get from Russia. He claimed it's 70%, but that's simply not true at all, it's much lower than that.

    A Political Thread

Sure, Merkel doesn't even like Putin (unlike her predecessor, who's best mates with him, but he also went to Erdogan's inauguration...). I mean, in the past the two of them spoke to each other through an interpreter even though they speak each other's languages because they dislike each other...

What can WR do about Red Cards ruining games for the fans?

Watching both sports, I have to say that I'm not a big fan of it. It was introduced back in the day because a certain team was scoring too much during their power plays, but I think nowadays the sport would overall profit from more goals. Often enough, we've seen yellow cards turn games around...

    Fifa World Cup Russia 2018

No real surprise if you followed the drama around it in the Bundesliga, for instance.

    German Rugby

As long as the attitudes in German rugby don't change, we won't be going anywhere. Wild said in an interview that World Rugby wanted to help the DRV, but they were immune to feedback. In the same interview he also said that they wanted to spread out the WRA players over the German clubs, but...

    German Rugby

Not only because of that, that was the last straw. The general amateurism and unwillingness to change are the main reasons. The players now have to look for new clubs.

Heidelberger RK Barred from the 2018/19 Challenge Cup

He actually does not own the HRK nor is he a shareholder. That really is very questionable.

    German Rugby

The game was moved back by a week and will take place in Heidelberg (Fritz-Grundbaum-Sportpark) at 3pm (that's the 16th). Source I don't like the venue at all, but unless the WRA players are back, we won't stand a chance anyway and the football World Cup will overshadow it, too.

Would SA leaving SR really bankrupt NZ rugby

I definitely do enjoy the Champions Cup as well, but I prefer the style of play Super Rugby has to offer. Europe clearly has the better atmosphere, though., which makes the Champions Cup something special. I don't think there's enough place left for that, but the Super Rugby vs. Champions Cup...

Would SA leaving SR really bankrupt NZ rugby

I'm glad it's an hour later here, although I never manage to watch any NZ matches before we switch to DST. 7.30am just is too early for my liking.

Rugby World Cup 2019 Qualifying & Repechage Tournament

Well, it could be that they're just big amateurs, but either way, it makes rugby look ridiculous. Still, I hope Wild and the DRV will sort out their problems so we'll actually have a competitive team.

Would SA leaving SR really bankrupt NZ rugby

Super Rugby clearly has improved this year. Yes, it's not what it used to be, but clearly better than last year. European rugby has more money, but the level of play certainly isn't better.
