At least the increased attention on the championship may help those clubs financially

    Tier 1 vs Tier 2

Think it’s going to be a case of chuck them in at the deep end and see how they get on. They may get smashed but the media and attention not to mention money should help them develop long term. On a side note I’d like to see a tour of Argentina by one of the T1 nations include a test match vs...

    Next All Black coach?

I’m glad Joseph is staying if he can spend the next cycle establishing Japan as a genuine T1 nation then the momentum they built won’t be wasted

[RWC2019][The Final] England vs. South Africa (02/11/2019)

I wonder how much the fact England missed a game and have had an extra days recovery will factor? I expect a tough physical game all the same.

    [RWC2019][Semi-Final 1] England vs. New Zealand (26/10/2019)

It felt like the Rugby equivalent of when Germany crushed Brazil in the World Cup a few years back. We completely dominated and the tension stress and worry we’re still evident in me till about 75mins, a Welsh guy I know say after 60 mins we’d got this and I couldn’t believe him, such is the...

    [RWC2019][Quarter-Final 4] Japan vs. South Africa (20/10/2019)

Think overall the score line flatters SA somewhat as was a keenly contested game. Thought Bok dominance at the maul and lineout meant the Japs we’re fighting a losing battle all game really. I enjoyed the brand of Rugby we’ve seen from Japan, brilliant by the hosts and genuinely thrilling to...

Tier 1 expansion - the great debate.

I know but I think they will cease to be relevant in 20 years if that’s the case, resource alone and the second ex of the playing pool will see to that

Tier 1 expansion - the great debate.

Long term the suggestion that Japan and US can be lumped in with Fiji is mad to me, if the sport catches fire in these countries you will have powerhouses of the game within ten years and the like of Fiji can’t compete. I think if Rugby grows at its current rate the Pacific Islanders will get...

Tier 1 expansion - the great debate.

A potential way around the travel would be for the championship to become the 5N and each team hosts it for a year. Commit to an initial 5 year plan. That way the loss of revenue due to not playing would hopefully be recouped by the additional revenue of other games. World Rugby would have to...

    National anthem for England

Jerusalem is sang at twickers just before the teams come out (or it was vs Fiji last autumn) my vote would be for Land of Hope & Glory, simply because it's more uplifting than Jerusalem. We may even join the French & Italians in having a cool anthem.

First Test: Australia vs. British and Irish Lions (22/06/13)

Great first game I really enjoyed it. A few observations: Folau look's a real talent, North looked our most potent threat, Stuart Barnes to ejaculate live on air when discussing Genia, Didn't like North's pointing. But on the whole look's like it will be a good tour.
