[RWC 2023 Final] New Zealand v South Africa 28/10/23 20:00 BST

The problem with that is that in the end rugby loses.

    [RWC2023 SF2] England vs South Africa (21/10/2023)

Then you will be losing twice as South Africa should win the final comfortably, I am picking by about 10 points.

[2023 TRC] New Zealand vs Australia

To be honest I don't think we are that far behind, the number of registered players is dwindling and public interest is not what it was. Who knows an ANZAC team may be all we can produce in 10-20 years.

    Bronze and Final

I have to admit, no matter how pleased I am that we won the there is still the knowledge that it was a three point win against a team with 14 players for much of the game. I can't help but think that it is a tacit acknowledgement that the English team is better than we are.

All Blacks v Tonga (NZ amateurs of Tongan heritage)

I am in two minds over this, on one hand our players do need warm up matches and I would like us to play the PI teams more often, on the other hand there is nothing to be gained (for either team) from scores like this. As it goes I still think integrating PI national teams into the Super Rugby...

    [2020 RC/Tri Nations] Round 2: Australia V New Zealand (Bledisloe 4) (7/11/2020)

I am not arguing that they were not legitimate cardings I am arguing that referees need to referee the laws uniformly, the problem is that some referees red card things that other referees yellow which causes issues.

    [2020 RC/Tri Nations] Round 2: Australia V New Zealand (Bledisloe 4) (7/11/2020)

But that is part of the problem, players shouldn't have to figure out the ref as all referees should be interpreting the laws in the same way and given the number of cards handed out to both sides I would suggest neither side had much of a clue what he was going to do.

    [2020 RC/Tri Nations] Round 1: Australia v New Zealand (Bledisloe 3) (31/10/2020)

At least give Rennie the season to turn things around, Cheika spent a long time ramming icebergs before handing over the keys to the RMS ***anic that is Aussie rugby.

Australia to host Rugby Championship from 7 November to 12 December

I suspect you can add Barrett to that list as well as they are expecting a kid shortly as well. I think it would be smarter to write off the RC and use the opportunity to blood new players, tie-down ones the Aussies and UK are likely to poach and get everyone sorted to defend the Bledisloe.

Australia to host Rugby Championship from 7 November to 12 December

I doubt a full strength All Blacks team will go as I many of them won't want to spend Xmas/New Years in quarantine. I wouldn't be surprised to see a development squad sent to what is effectively a dead competition.

    Super Rugby Aotearoa: Round 10 - [15 - 16 August 2020]

I wouldn't have a problem with that either although I would be just as happy if they limited the time a ball could remain in the maul (similar to a ruck).

    Super Rugby Aotearoa: Round 10 - [15 - 16 August 2020]

I have a number of "personal" issues with it, The biggest is that it offends my interpretation of Shepparding (yes I know it is within the rules but it just doesn't sit well). The next is that it is almost unstoppable once in action and to counter your statement if I wanted to watch a bunch of...

    Super Rugby Aotearoa: Round 10 - [15 - 16 August 2020]

Really? I think it is the one tactic that should be removed from the game.

Would the NZ public/teams welcome a South African coach in any of their teams ?

Personally I would like to invoke a modified version of Godwin's law (replace Hitler/Nazi with Bully) and declare Mania the winner. With regard to coaches I would hope New Zealand would select the best coaches available no matter where they were from but as has been mentioned a number of times...

Would the NZ public/teams welcome a South African coach in any of their teams ?

As much as I want to say we would welcome a "foreign" coach I dont think we would be enthusiastic about a team grinding a series of wins with the scores being divisible by 3 so it would have to be a coach that fitted our style of rugby. I guess we will see when Gatlands review is in as he is as...

Would the NZ public/teams welcome a South African coach in any of their teams ?

I thought he was already coaching the Chiefs.

    Super Rugby Aotearoa: Round 8 - [1 - 2 August 2020]

I thought the only team that couldn't win it was the Chiefs, obviously it would require some interesting results to take the Crusaders hands off the cup but who knows nothing is impossible.

What next for the South African Teams

Just pointing out that neither SA nor Argentina were invited to the dance. I would also suggest that there is no real power struggle going on, rather NZ is leaving the corporate boardroom to focus on a more grassroots approach and given how burnt out the NZ public is on rugby in general I...

What if Aus leave Super rugby?

Tarnish a three decade relationship? I can't recall a year where SA haven't used threatening to play in NH competitions to get what they want, we are just preempting the usual process by saying "sure go". Personally, I think the best option is 3 separate competitions made of as many teams and...
