Female fencer who took a knee against trans rival has faced men before

Stephanie Turner was set to battle with Redmond Sullivan at a USA Fencing tournament on March 30, but took a knee in protest and forfeited. On March 23 she fought men seven times in another meet.

Thisnstory is far more interesting than the this poor article explains...

1. The female fencer participated in mixed events, not against trans women previously

2. Redmond Sullivan has quit their team after this

3. There is a title XI federal investigation against USA fencing

4. USA fencing have listed they will not attend states that don't air on their side of the abortion argument

5. After changing their Transn inclusion policies last year, there was a huge debate about the task force they set up, as the players wanted a female task force, but Fencing USA voted against a Female only task force.

It's a complex issue, but I don't thinknthese humiliation tactics help anyone, it's getting more and more prevelant that women are taking the knee or bowing out on a public stage.

I’m not exactly Murray’s number one fan but Dave Smith, and Rogan obviously, are actual idiots. Dave Smith the so called expert not expert, contradicts himself so much. Some time in the same sentence.

I wonder if Badenoch is going to come out in support of China against our own MPs as she did with Israel or if now she's going to suddenly decide MPs being barred entry isn't ok. It's lose lose whichever position she takes. Side with an authoritarian regime against our own MPs or appear as a massive hypocrite.

I'm not getting dragged into the idiot weeds, but if there's one thing I'm taking from this podcast so far, while Sat on my kitchen floor icing my knees lol...

Is that it's very clear Murray has underestimated Dave Smith. I don't know who Smith is, apparently a self described comedian with political obsessions, but he's incredibly knowledgeable on current global policy, and it's throwing Murray off.

I'm also not a Murray fan, bit I think he makes valuable points on certain areas, and if you compartmentalise that he has a team, he clearly knows a lot and does his research... thisnisnt being represented here, Smith is obliterating him on every angle.

It's not a fun listen if im being honest, Murray isn't being good faith, or even holding his own. He literally just berated Rogan for hosting conspiracy nuts and not enough experts, then mocking Smith for appealing to authority lol.

I'm an hour in, I'm bored, and now realising why I don't listen to Rogan podcasts often, I think I'll stick to Joey Diaz from here on hahaha

Also Dave Smith: I'll put my record up against the so called experts around COVID.

He's a grifter who knows **** all. He's got an impressive array of quotes that always seem to back up his case but conveniently ignores quotes that don't support what he's saying. He's a charlatan.

I've listened to him for the last hour making a very good case against the supposed 2 state solution in Palestine...it's incredibly knowledgeable, and I implore you to listen to the 15 to 20 mins or so he does that about 1.20.00 to 1.50.00 or so. He talks blockades, world bank predictions on GDP constriction, Egypts actions, and Isreals actions...

This is the first time I've come across Smith, although I think I have seen him make jokes, but he is embarrassing Murray using a wealth of historical and geopolitical knowledge.

He's made that claim in this podcast actually... Murraybconcedes that to him. Do you know the context of those quotes?

I bet you and I would make the exact same claims about Welsh rugby, I did when it came to regional ism.

He doesn't even know how these blockades work or why they're in place. Understandably as he likes to profess to be an exeprt on the Middle East but has never even been as Murray called him out on.

But this is the problem that Murray was rightly highlighting at the start, we live in a world now where comedians, with little actual knowledge, profess themselves to be experts when they know next to nothing. They then go on podcasts like rogan and convince people that they have seriously studied these conflicts when really they only have a surface level understanding and when someone pulls them up on that they then retreat to the "hey, I'm just a comedian man" BS

Dave Smiths a thobber. Heard him on Rogan once talking ******** about Ukraine. He's a typical "did my own research" idiot who bangs on about a so called "expert class" blah blah blah. Yeah lets not believe academics who have all relevant information in front of them but believe him and Jimmy Dore. ******* idiots

1. Ok first, don't ignore my question and explain the context of the above quotes by you.

2. As I quoted him earlier, he claims to be a comedian who has an interest in history and geopolitics. That's 100% every one of us on this thread, that is literally what he said. Why do you keep lying about him claiming himself to be an 'expert'when he has said numerous times 'I am no expert'.

3. He described in detail why and how the blockades are, including citing an example of duel use cookies, but the point stands that isreal over reach of blockades is a factual evidenced claim. Do you not believe that?
In this context, Murray is making the claim Isreal have done nothing wrong in Gaza, Smith made the claim it isn't that simple, and i 100% agree with Smiths point. Are you in alignment with Murray that this war is down to Palestinian actions?

4. That might have been Murrays most embarrassing take I've ever seen him make, the fake dramatic 'what, you've never been?' Hahaha the idea, that spending time with the IDF and Isreali leaders gives you far more knowledge on a war is crazy dumb. Do you also make the claim that all death stats coming out of Palestine are mere Hamas propaganda, as Murray made seconds after this point?

5. No, you have massively mischaracterised Murrays first point, he had NO criticism of Togan or Dmith, and was claiming that those 2 guys Carrol and (I can't remember the other guy) should not be allowed to hold big platforms to talk about politics, which is the authoritarian stance Murray would argue against the left.

Murray was hot off the topic that Churchill was criticised for being a proponent of WW2 in a non super hero light. Murray has a huge Churchil sized chip on his shoulder from his claims that the left wanted to reframe history, and make Churchill an evil guy, and destroy his statues etc... and he made valid points then, but that trauma has spilled over let's be honest.

I find it gobsmacking that you would defend Murray with such vigour and falsehoods, please answer the questions above, it's incredibly important you explain whether you misheard or are being nefarious

I can't comment on Smiths precvious comments, because I didn't know who he was today, and I know Jimmy Dore is a wild flip flopper, so not sure of the comparison.

What I will say, is Murray did not prepare properly before going head to head with him today, and I find it sad that Murray decided he wanted a 3 hour debate, because he's funny and charming when sat back and relaxed. Have to blame Rogan for this though, he could have had a conversation with Murray, but he brought Smith on and sat him opposite Murray lol

What question? You initially said he talks about the world bank and blockades and other such ****. Ok, cool. I didn't see a question.

Errrr, I literally said where he claims to be an expert on that very ******* show. lol. He literally said he'd put his record on Covid against any of the so called experts in virology and what not. Do keep up mate.

Honestly, I could get into the rest and you seem to think I'm some Murray fan boy when I dislike his general demeanour and disagree with most of his views but I think if I did it would be a waste of time with you today to be honest especially given your first 2 "points"

My very first question and then repeated asked you the context of your quotes, I which you quoted 'I am not an expert'. You can't quote someone's claim, and then claim he claims to be an expert in the very same breath. You understand this right?

I'll lay it out to you, that his point is that experts aren't any more trustworthy than doing your own research, COVID is a perfect example of experts bought and paid for to regurgitate government agendas. That's why arguing to authority isn't a great idea, in which Murray lambasts him for lol

Your right it's a waste of time, my only point here is that Murray wasn't very good, and underrepresented and was forced to drag the conversation down into semantics to side step being wrong. Your the one who disagreed with that lol

After Alrumsnpromoted the Rogan show I decided to listen and give an opinion, on how Murray was poor, Smith came across well, and well Rogan was pretty much non existent. I disagree with the daily mails article because it was bias (big shock).

I'm not sure why you jumped to the defence of Murray so un honestly, why is that?
