A Political Thread pt. 2

Its just so tiresome being be Millenial we kinda entered the workplace during the 2007 economic crisis and we've not really seen sustained growth and investment since.

It could have all been so different if you'd started a PPE business in 2007 and been neighbours with Matt Hancock.

It's a lot easier to understand when you realise these people are thick and/or narcissists.

Sooo what are the main UK options?
Looks like the Kier Starmer is banking on a quick deal, and considering it's only baseline I guess it makes sense he is hopeful.

But god we need to develop more of a wider market, look at commonwealth deals, asian deals, EU deals just anywhere really.

Listened to the newsagents this morning.

I think first we ride out and see what American markets do over the next week (note he announced this after they closed). See if they stick.

The its about riding it out and hope a deal can be done. General thought is they will be done but it'll be messy.

In terms of our market focus on investment on defence.

Don't think we are going to get any kind of deal on cars, steel, etc. Which is going to hurt.

Plus 10% now on everything else.

Definitely not the win some seem to think it is.
The win is we've been given a broken nose instead of KO'd.

But nobody wins in this especially the USA its a massive act of self harm.

It seems many who support trump's tariffs think that the investment in new manufacturing will just materialise overnight and that Americans will see new manufacturing jobs from day 1.

It's baffling how people who complained about the cost of living under Biden due to circumstances largely beyond his control are now perfectly happy with exploding costs for years with a policy that is entirely within their control.
